Fear, as defined by Merriam-Webster, “an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.  The threat may be real or imagined.”
Fear, through our biological makeup, is one of the most adaptive emotions.  The feeling of fear prevents us from petting a cobra.  We need fear triggers to stop, look and listen when a threat is near.  But discrimination is essential to mitigate the negative consequences of fear.  Fear is not necessarily good or bad but rather should be viewed as a tool to achieve success and improve performance at work, school or sport.  This […]
